Dreams about kings
The other day, I bought a Carlos V candy bar at a 7-11 and ate it. Later that night, I had this cool dream where I was in bed with King Carlos at his royal palace.
What can I say – in my dream, he banged me. And he did it like he was king of my hole!
And for some strange reason, he seemed familiar to me. Carlos was so romantic. He never talked but man he could kiss! Then for some reason, I suddenly woke up.
That part really sucked!
Why did I have this dream and what does it mean? By the way, do you know why Nestle has such a hot f****** king on that candy bar? He’s really cute!

PS: Is it weird I woke up wet?
Dr. John Responds:
I’ll do my best to respond. Let’s do a quick review of the candy bar and king for some context.
The bar itself was named as a way of honoring Carlos V, a powerful king that happened to be the Holy Roman Emperor. He ruled for forty years.
It is my understanding that he’s credited with bringing chocolate to the courts of Europe.
Ok, time to move on to the substance of your dream and interpret. Right off the bat, I couldn’t help but notice you mentioned buying the candy bar.
I’m wondering what motivated you to purchase this brand in the first place? Were you attracted to the image on the wrapper? Assuming the answer is yes, let’s take a look at the king.
From what I see, he’s young, smiling, has a goatee and is wearing a crown. I’ll hand it to Nestle. They certainly did a great job with packaging!
But what does he represent in your dream?
Symbolically, dreams about kings almost always represent power and strength. But they also symbolize dominance, leadership and wisdom.
You said the king seemed familiar to you. How so? Search your memory and inventory your past relationships. Is there someone who comes up?
Also, are you dating someone now? If so, do you wish he had some of the king’s traits, namely assertiveness? I mention this because sometimes, dreams act as a conduit to wish fulfillment.
In other words, you may be subconsciously projecting a deeply held desire through familiar objects – like King Carlos. Does any of this ring a bell? If so, pay attention. All of us have basic relationship needs. Are yours being met?
Now let’s move on to what happened in the royal bed.
Essentially, it sounds like the king was dominant and ruled the land with expertise. But remember, sex in dreams are symbolic and shouldn’t be taken literally.
Because orifices were involved (aka: your mouth and anus), the dream could be about communication. You said he never talked but kissed you. This could be more evidence of communication. One doesn’t need to speak in order to impart knowledge (if that makes sense).
Finally, you asked if it was weird you woke up wet. The answer is no. In fact, “wet dreams” aren’t that unusual in men. It’s a sign of vitality and a healthy libido.
Bear in mind that because he was inserting, the act itself may symbolize information sharing. You see in dream-speak, any object used for bodily insertion usually represents a subconscious rod of knowledge.
Did you learn anything about yourself from this dream? If so, what was it? More important, how will you use this insight in the future?
