An Indian Man Attacked His Friend After Being Turned Down
An Indian man is being pursued by police after he attacked a friend with a “sharp weapon” because the friend wouldn’t have sex with him.
According to Indian authorities, a 40-year-old man asked his 29-year-old friend if he wanted to have sex last week. The two were reportedly on a walk together when the moment happened.
Part of the older man’s great offense to being rejected is the fact that the two were allegedly in a sexual relationship. The younger man only declined because he had recently gotten married.
It was after the younger friend declined, of course, that the older man assaulted him.
Police are now looking for the older man in the western city of Pune and the surrounding area.
“The duo was also in sexual relationship with each other, a local police officer told the Times of India.
“On Monday night, the duo had gone for a stroll. When they reached the service road around 10pm, the suspect started pursuing the complainant to have sex with him.”
“The man became furious and assaulted the complainant with a sharp weapon. We have launched a manhunt for him.”
If the police find and catch the man, they plan to charge him with “voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means” under section 324 of the Indian Penal Code. If convicted of that crime, he could face up to three years in prison, a hefty fine, or both. On top of that, gay sex is still illegal in India under section 377 of the Penal Code.
As for the younger man, he received injuries to his hand, but he should recover.
