Shane Birney Crone & Rayvon Owen Got Engaged
We’re happy to share the love between “Bridegroom’s” Shane Birney Crone and former American Idol contestant Rayvon Owen.
Shane Birney Crone and Rayvon Owen have been a lovely couple since Owen came out in his debut music video (shared below) after leaving the singing competition.
Since then, they have been a strong and consistent couple. But now, they’re ready to take the next step together… with help from pop singer Demi Lovato.
Lovato happens to be friends with Shane Britney Crone, so she was more than willing to help with the couple’s big moment.
That’s especially so when you figure she met him after watching his 2013 documentary about his late partner Tom Bridegroom. Oh, and the fact that he’s appeared in two of her music videos (“Really Don’t Care” and “Sorry Not Sorry”).
While performing in LA for her Tell Me You Love Me tour, Lovato asked Owen to help her with one of her songs.
“I didn’t know what was going on. I thought I was going up there to like, dance,’” he told Billboard Pride.
Going on, he said: “I thought we were going to have a little twerk session with her.”
“And then she was like, ‘Who’d you come here with?”
“I was like, ‘I came with my boyfriend Shane,’ and she’s like, ‘Where is he?”
“And I was like looking to where we were sitting, thinking that he was still seated over there, and then he popped up in the middle of the stage!”
I SAID YES!!!
i'm still in tears. last night was hands down the happiest night of my life. i am beyond excited and honored to spend the rest of my life with you, @ShaneBitney. thank you @ddlovato for giving us this extremely special moment. #tellmeyoulovemetour pic.twitter.com/P3Kow9jdgZ

After the show, Crone pointed out that the elaborate proposal was Demi Lovato’s idea.
“The whole slideshow, and her singing the song, that was like her idea.”
“She was so kind to do that, then to even go the extra mile, you know?”
“‘Not just say, ‘Yeah, you can propose to him on stage,’ but then, ‘Let me sing you a song.”
“She did the whole thing. It took up almost 10 minutes of her concert.”
