Gus Kenworthy’s Instagram Will Keep You Warm During the Winter Games

He broke the internet with his hot pictures and now he did it again with this:

Gus Kenworthy, 26, a freestyle skier competing in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, posted a photo of himself embracing figure skater Adam Rippon, 28, at the opening ceremony on Instagram.

“I feel incredibly honored to be here in Korea competing for the US and I’m so proud to be representing the LGBTQ community alongside this amazing guy! Eat your heart out, Pence.” wrote Gus Kenworthy in the caption.

The athlete also posted images on Twitter which said:  ‘We’re here. We’re queer. Get used to it.’

When US Vice President Pence was running for Congress in 2000, a statement on his campaign website said: ‘Resources should be directed toward those institutions which provide assistance to those seeking to change their sexual behavior,’ and in 2006, he predicted that gay marriage would lead to a ‘societal collapse’.

Hillary Clinton on the other hand, told the crowd at the 2018 Makers Conference that she was “excited that Adam Rippon and Gus Kenworthy will be the first openly gay Olympians for the American team.”

Kenworthy appeared on the Ellen show last week and also criticised the Vice President saying: ‘To have somebody leading the delegation that has directly attacked the LGBTQ community… just seems like a bad fit. I feel like the Olympics is all about inclusion and people coming together, and it seems like it’s not really doing that.”

Kenworthy is hoping to make new friends, specifically the members of the US men’s bobsled team he revealed in an amusing tweet earlier this week featuring the men in their spandex uniforms.

One thing he will not be seen doing at the Games however is meeting with Vice President Mike Pence.

Both men have made it clear that they have no interest in chatting with the former Indiana governor.
